I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. It was close to town and trolley tour pick up point. It had a friendly feel about it and was very clean.
area was just right as advertised "within 15 minutes of historic downtown Savanna". Loved the way staff was willing to make our stay comfortable.
I loved the location and the art deco design style...the Staff was very friendly and accomdiating. I would like to thank staff members Leslie, Wendy and Leo. for doing such a great job in anwsering our questions about the area, and overall friendliness. We will definitely stay here on our next trip..
We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very well restored. There were two night that the guests were very loud and did awaken us at around 3:00 am. We think they were guests but we know they were loud with their talking outside our room. We did not call the front desk at the time. When complaining to the front desk, the next morning, they assured us that if we would have called...they would have stopped it.
We thought the breakfast should have been more healthy. I did eat the creamed filled donuts...but felt pretty guilty about it all day and I had a wonderful sugar high till noon. When returning to Savannah.....we would stay at the Thunderbird again.
Good location, friendly servicing. Good motel for tourists for reasonable price.
The location was good,, close to downtown, the staff was friendly, and the price was very reasonable
It was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Coffee and donuts were a big plus in the A.M.
Friendly yet a little on the quirky side in a good way (moon pies & RC cola)
Only donuts at breakfast. Some fruit would be nice.
The wi-fi is not good.
Clean room free breakfast, comfortable bed nice crisp clean sheets. Great room service, friendly staff. Highly recommend!
My daughter & I were in Savannah for a SCAD campus tour. The location was spot on, service was friendly and accomidating; good value.
The mattress was a bit warn, but have a Sleep Number at home ~ so spoiled.
The location was good, accommodations good, room comfortable, staff pleasant.
Noise ... being close to scad - students out till wee morning hours and quite loud as was traffic. Problem with door - maybe. Would recommend Thunderbird if that gets resolved. Was hoping for a good night's sleep as I had a 6 hour drive the following day - got to sleep around 3 a.m. and had to wake up at 7 a.m.
Retro and handy to everything in historic savannah
Great retro vibe and decent location. Historic Savannah is not big, so many places are walkable from the Thunderbird. Rooms are really clean and the staff is super friendly for a very decent price.
It's a bit removed from the rest of the city, but still very central. 5 minute walk from central Savannah. The breakfast isn't very consistent, but there are plenty of decent breakfast and sandwich places in Savannah.
I want to thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The people were friendly and always right there to help if you needed it. We will be coming back soon and staying at the 611 Thunderbird Inn Savannah. God Bless, and thank you for helping us enjoy our first trip to Savannah. Sure hope when my wife and I have our 37th wedding ann.in September you have room for two.. Thank you again. Jimmy, and Beverly Castro
There was only one thing that happen that wasn't to bad is that the people one room over was drinking and smoking a little loud. We didn't say anything to them and the quieted down some what. They were parked next to us and my daughter found the word pussy written on her car in the dust that was collected. My grands didn't see it before we got it off. That could be done by anyone though. And has no reflections on you or you Inn please know that. I just didn't want the grads to see it and they didn'T. Lol Some people huh?
